Millions of years ago, they rose up out of the Tethys Sea: the Dolomites - a majestic limestone massif, over 2.000 m high coral reefs grown deep below the surface of the ancient sea. No wonder the Pale Mountains, as they are called, were declared a UNESCO Worl Heritage site in 2009 - a distinction and also a mandate to protect and preserve this unique mountain region for all mankind.

Spring comes back to life with fresh, brightly coloured meadows, with a carpet of wild crocus and a chorus of birdsong. When nature awakes on Alpe di Siusi, the wonderful paths on Europe's biggest Alpine pasture emerge again and invite you to enjoy a choice of fine outings, with long walks or short strolls, and flowers to be picked everywhere. Explore the area on foot or by bike, passing through scented meadows and woods flushed with the rising sap. Mountains bring the deepest peace – and also offer a variety of activities! The choice is yours: from mindful enjoyment to exercise and sports for an active holiday. And everything that is good for body and soul.

With the cow bells warmly ringing and the crickets quietly singing, Alpe di Siusi offers three hundred and fifty kilometers of walks to idyllic spots. From the doorstep of the Mountain Lodge, you can walk through lush green meadows and climb fabled peaks for as long as your legs will carry you. Plus mountain biking trails for all levels of ability. A spell is released that captivates the spirit. Sheer enjoyment in a magical world of colour. When nature marks its turning point with bright contrasts, when the colourful leaves fall and the landscape stands clear in the pure autumn air, you feel at one with nature and part of the greater whole. Wafts of mist roll languorously over the pasture. Take a deep breath. And a long walk. The scenery is transformed. The sky is curtained in red.

Winter charm

Mind and body in perfect unison. It is a regal feeling to simply exist against such a backcloth: The sight of the white winter landscape is sheer relaxation, while the body has everything it needs to find release. Almost endless cross-country ski trails, miles of perfect pistes, countless snowshoe walks through the Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park. And in the evening, a hot sauna for pure relaxation. And a sense of infinity, while the open fire crackles under a canopy of stars.

The ADLER Lodge ALPE has a modern ski rental centre, with technical equipment of last generation. You can rent downhill and cross-country skis, snowboards, ski boots, snow-shoes and sleds. We recommend to book the ski equipment before your arrival.
