ADLER for Planet

On the Alpe di Siusi, Europe’s largest high-altitude plateau, nature sets the rhythm of each day. Wide alpine meadows, larch forests and the breathtaking backdrop of the Dolomites create a place where tranquillity is not something to search for – it is simply part of the experience.

As an integral part of this unique cultural landscape, ADLER Alpe embraces a way of hospitality that respects and values its surroundings. For us, sustainability is about far more than using resources responsibly. It means preserving the beauty, biodiversity and authenticity of this extraordinary place while offering our guests an experience where comfort, nature and wellbeing exist in perfect harmony.

With deep respect for the landscape and the people who have shaped it for generations, we invite our guests to experience the Alpe di Siusi at its most authentic – unhurried, genuine and closely connected to nature.

Our sustainability mission

The Alpe di Siusi is much more than the home of ADLER Alpe – it shapes the way we think and the way we work.
Being part of this unique Alpine environment means helping to preserve its cultural landscape while creating a place where guests can truly reconnect with nature.

Through ADLER for Planet, we follow a holistic sustainability strategy that brings together environmental, social and economic responsibility.
We invest in energy-efficient solutions, continuously improve our operations and support the local economy through long-standing partnerships with South Tyrolean producers, artisans and service providers.

For us, sustainability is not about giving something up; it is about making conscious choices that favour quality, authenticity and long-term thinking.
We believe that genuine wellbeing grows where nature, hospitality and respect for place come together naturally.

Our certification

Since 2024, ADLER Alpe has been certified by EarthCheck, an internationally recognised certification programme for sustainable tourism, acknowledged by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).

Each year, independent audits assess measurable criteria including energy and water management, resource efficiency, waste management, local sourcing and social responsibility.
These assessments help us monitor our progress, identify opportunities for improvement and continuously strengthen our sustainability approach.

ADLER Alpe has also been awarded the South Tyrol Sustainability Label – Level 3, the highest regional recognition for tourism businesses committed to sustainable development.

For us, these certifications are not an end point but an encouragement to continue improving, step by step.

Sustainable Gourmet

The ADLER sustainable gourmet vision focuses on locally sourced production as a means of presenting South Tyrol and its traditions. We cherry-pick our ingredients from small local farmers and favour niche products from sustainable supply chains for better quality and taste.

Gift a tree

In 2022, the ADLER Lodge ALPE starts a new project with a sustainable initiative aiming to preserve the surrounding natural environment. We already had this idea in mind for quite a while now, and today we won’t wait any longer. Due to the constant natural disasters, we are finally happy to announce a new ongoing project with the support of our guests.

Traditional flavours, in step with the times

Have you already had a chance to try out the homemade tagliatelle with toasted flour, or delicious veal sweetbreads? At the ADLER Lodge Alpe, you can discover the treasures of traditional Alpine cooking, revised with a modern twist.
