A big family

Many workers have been part of the staff since the opening. Sara remembers.
The ADLER Lodge ALPE is a very peculiar workplace that unites the guests with a great family. It is a workplace many might be dreaming of: to take an e-bike tour to the Goldknopf pastures during a break, a quick snowboard ride or enjoy the traditional “mountain balls” in the neighbouring huts after work. The team is young, dynamic and highly qualified – a team of friends, 35 to be precise, with an average age of 29 years.

Many of our workers have been part of the staff since the opening of the hotel, some have worked for the ADLER Lodge already before its opening. For example Kathrin, our receptionist, who has diligently answered information requests and sent offers, at that time still in an office at the ADLER Dolomiti in Ortisei. Also Hannes, our chef, has actively contributed with his ideas to the organization of the kitchen and has developed the kitchen concept in joint collaboration with the Sanoner family. Pastry chef Elisa has been here since our beginnings as well: she has already enchanted our very first guests with her creations. After 3 years, our headwaiter Nicolantonio has even taken his family from Apulia to South Tyrol. Kurt and Pavel know the lodge like the back of their hands, having helped out the tradesmen during the construction phase. And who doesn’t know Eric, the guy that meets every guest with a broad smile and enthusiastically takes care of the entertainment while hiking, skiing, walking on the morning dew, night sledding and flower tasting, and who is at the same time our skiman, sauna master and bike technician? We could go on telling you about many more valuable employees.

Our staff members are special people, who are enchanted by the atmosphere on the Alpe di Siusi themselves. They have to be as the season is long: they spent 11 full months on the mountains. There is a fantastic work environment, which we hotel managers perceive as well and that makes many things a lot easier. But also our guests feel it: the service they receive is casual, authentic and hearty. It is simply wonderful to be part of such a host family.
