Architecture and construction

With its steep roofs and clean, understated lines, the ADLER Lodge RITTEN blends harmoniously into the Alpine landscape, becoming a natural part of the surrounding forest.

The construction follows Renon’s building tradition and the principles of contemporary sustainability: local wood, natural materials and a continual focus on energy efficiency.
Generous glass façades open the interiors to the outdoors, bringing natural light and the surrounding landscape into the Lodge. In this way, the boundary between inside and outside dissolves – architecture and nature merging into one seamless whole.

As a Klimahaus A–certified property, the Lodge meets the highest standards of building quality and energy performance. Durability, regional value creation and responsible use of resources remain central to every decision we make.

Mobility and digitalization

Sustainability also shapes the way we use technology and how we move.

Wherever possible, we rely on digital processes – from internal workflows to guest communication – to reduce paper consumption and conserve resources.
Technology is not an end in itself, but a tool: it simplifies daily tasks, increases efficiency and allows us to dedicate more time to what truly matters – authentic conversations, personalised guidance and sincere dialogue with our guests.

When it comes to mobility, the Renon plateau offers ideal conditions for conscious, low-impact travel. The Lodge is easily accessible in a comfortable and environmentally friendly way: by train to Bolzano and then with the historic Renon cable car to Soprabolzano.

Once here, we invite our guests to explore the region car-free – with the complimentary Mobility Card for all public transport in South Tyrol, with e-bikes, or along the many hiking trails that start right outside our door. Charging stations for electric cars are also available.

Local value & short supply chains

Responsibility begins here. On the Renon, we work with people who share our vision and who, like us, place great importance on quality, provenance and fairness.

Our approach is simple and hands-on: farm-to-table is not a concept, but an everyday practice.
In our garden of around 4,000 m² we grow herbs, salads and vegetables that go straight to the kitchen. Completing this are the products from our local partners: the Messner bakery on the Renon, which uses regional grains; the Buchhütterhof, which supplies free-range eggs; Hof zu Fall with its raw-milk cheeses; the Alter Keller butcher in Montan; and Kohl’s apple juices, made from mountain apples grown on the Renon.

In this way, the journey from origin to plate remains short, relationships stay direct, and the value created stays where it belongs: within our region.
