Closer to nature

ADLER for Planet

The ADLER Lodge RITTEN is a place that radiates tranquillity and invites guests to pause with intention. Up here, sustainability does not arise from grand statements but from many carefully considered decisions – from a way of life that values simplicity, seeks what truly matters and treats its surroundings with respect.
ADLER for Planet encapsulates this attitude: a promise that extends beyond the stay itself and understands responsibility as a natural part of everyday actions.

Our mission

The ADLER Lodge RITTEN embraces a form of sustainability rooted in our Alpine culture and our close connection with nature. Surrounded by woods and meadows, we are committed to protecting this delicate ecosystem and maintaining a respectful relationship with its biodiversity.

The Lodge has been built using natural materials and follows the principles of Klimahaus A architecture. We use renewable energy, reduce emissions and embrace circular practices in the way we manage resources.
Our collaborations with farmers, producers and artisans from South Tyrol strengthen our bond with the region and support the local economy.

At the same time, we foster social responsibility, create a positive working environment, and encourage our guests to develop a more mindful relationship with nature.

With ADLER for Planet as our guiding framework, we aim to show that true luxury lies in the harmony between serenity, the environment and our commitment to the future.

Awarded with the South Tyrol Sustainability Seal

A clear sign of lived responsibility – the ADLER Lodge RITTEN has been awarded the South Tyrol Sustainability Seal.

At the highest level, Level 3, this quality label stands for a deep and holistic commitment to environmental protection, regional value creation, and social responsibility. It is based on the internationally recognised criteria of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and honours those who are especially dedicated to preserving South Tyrol’s unique natural environment and supporting its communities – with a sustainability approach that encompasses all areas of operation.

Achieving this certification requires a clear strategy, a comprehensive action plan, and a system for continuous monitoring and improvement. All aspects of sustainability are communicated transparently and are regularly certified by an independent institution – in our case, EarthCheck.

This recognition reaffirms our path: to manage resources mindfully, strengthen local collaboration, foster respectful relationships with employees and partners, and offer our guests authentic, nature-based relaxation – in harmony with the values and culture of South Tyrol.
Citation Hannes Pignater
Anyone arriving on the Renon immediately senses a feeling of calm.
Here at the Lodge, everything revolves around nature: we don’t just observe it from a distance – we live in harmony with it.
Many of the products we use originate right here, thanks to the work of local farmers and producers we have collaborated with for years and who share our values.

Nature is present in every detail – in the materials, in the architecture, and above all in our way of being.
We are a small team, united by the commitment to care for this place and preserve its authenticity.

Freshly harvested, freshly served. Healthy cuisine from our farm garden!

Whatever our guests like, now they have it right around the corner. True to our from-farm-to-table concept, the chefs of the ADLER Spa Resorts & Lodges prefer fresh and seasonal products from local farms and producers.

Happy bees make better honey!

It is a sunny morning, and thousands of busy workers are making their way to ADLER Lodge Ritten in their black and yellow uniforms. Soon, their workplace is buzzing: there are honeycombs to build, entrances to guard and stocks to store, as well as nectar to process and cleaning to do.

Fresh milk and yogurt from the farm next door

Is there anything more delicious than fresh milk and yogurt from cows that graze peacefully the wholesome grass of mountain meadows?
