PANORAMA Finnish sauna
At 85°C and with a humidity rate of 15 to 20%, the Finnish sauna affords a breath-taking view of the sea and Mediterranean macchia. The sauna infusions, offered daily, add to the experience by enhancing the wholesome effects of the heat.
Sole Pool
The indoor pool offers a secluded, intimate atmosphere while affording an open view into the outdoors through its large floor-to-ceiling windows.
Experience a deep reconnection with nature as you swim with your gaze gliding over the sea shimmering on the horizon. The whirlpool stations provide an extra touch of uncompromising well-being.
The water in the Sole pool is slightly saline and heated to a pleasant temperature in the colder months.

Tradition: Wood carvings & traditional costumes
Val Gardena is internationally renowned for its wood carving tradition. Many of our skilled carvers learn the craft from their parents and pass it on to the next generation. By purchasing a nativity scene, a religious figure or a wooden toy as a souvenir, what you take home with you is an authentic piece of Val Gardena culture. Locals are very attached to their traditions, and this bond is also revealed in the typical costumes proudly worn during parades and folk festivals. With their feather-embroidered leather belts and elaborate headdresses, these are among the most beautiful examples of traditional attire in the Alpine region.

There is an all-day juice bar and a children’s snack bar for when the kids get hungry and thirsty. Our young guests even have their own children’s table (drinks included) for lunch and dinner.
Dolce pool
Situated next to the Sole pool and even closer to the sea, the freshwater pool is subtly heated to provide sublime refreshment and the ideal swimming experience in any season. The adjacent garden is equipped with comfortable loungers for a rejuvenating sunbath.

A gentle sauna experience which combines the soothing power of heat with the awe-inspiring beauty of the view – the biosauna is the perfect place to let loose and focus on your well-being. It has a temperature of around 60°C and a humidity rate of 40%.
Bolzano - Old-town charm
At the heart of Bolzano is the Waltherplatz square and the cathedral, along with picturesque medieval arcades, a colourful fruit market and winding cobbled streets that, besides connecting the various points of interest like a historic thread, are also popular meeting places in their own right, lined with exclusive boutiques, trendy shops selling designer accessories, and everything from deli shops to traditional handicrafts workshops. With an impressive choice of cafés and restaurants around every corner, you can look forward to a delicious meal or snack between activities.
Other attractions for children
In addition to the AKI Kids Club, the ADLER Spa Resort DOLOMITI has lots of other entertainment options for the little ones: a mini zoo, the ADLER Alm for adventure games and exploration tours as well as exciting trips with picnics and barbecue parties. Our playful massages and spa treatments are also very popular with children.
Semi-Olympic sports pool
The 25-metre sports pool guarantees a quality training opportunity for swimmers. With a view of the sea and Torre Salsa Nature Reserve, it also sets the perfect stage for memorable AquaGym lessons or an inspiring morning swim.
Steam bath
Tucked away in a patch of Mediterranean greenery, the steam bath is the stepping stone to complete relaxation, or the perfect ending to a day dedicated to wellness. The temperature of 45°C combined with a 90% humidity rate creates the perfect conditions for alleviating rheumatic pain and muscle tension.
Highlights since spring 2023
From 18 May, the new relaxation area offers even more space for our guests to unwind in the wellness area. Whether in the inviting pavilion with a view of the Sassolungo or in one of the cosy relaxation bunks, the homely scent of larch wood surrounds you everywhere. A fireplace in the inner courtyard exudes a magical atmosphere. And a beautifully landscaped walkway leads directly into the garden and to the sauna area by the lake.
Museums and cultural sights
Bolzano can boast a wide choice of museums, cultural events and sights that attract thousands of visitors every year. Among the highlights is the Archaeology Museum with Ötzi the “Iceman”, a 5,300-year-old mummy fortuitously found by two mountaineers on the Similaun glacier in 1991. The Messner Mountain Museum Firmian, themed after the relationship between man and the mountain, is equally worth a visit. Other sights include the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, Runkelstein Castle and the Museum of Contemporary Art with its impressive glass building. The cultural panorama is rounded off by numerous exhibitions, concerts and events taking place year-round.
Relaxation with a view
The panoramic relaxation room is the perfect retreat for putting the world on hold, whether after a massage, before a sauna session, or just for a quality break in a tranquil, secluded place.
Thalasso pool
The ultimate temple of well-being – a space swathed in tranquillity, where the only sound is the lulling murmur of the sea. The Thalasso saltwater pool enjoys a privileged position overhanging the sea, and faces the iconic white cliffs of Capobianco. In the pampering embrace of its warm water, time stands still but for the changing hues of a spectacular sunset.
Highlights since spring 2022
Lakeside saunas - the new saunas, in addition to the existing ones, will be located outside, on a wide dock at the center of a small lake connected to the land by a boardwalk.
Facilities will include a biosauna, finnish sauna, turkish bath, hot whirlpool overlooking the lake and a cold plunge pool – it will be a new kind of experience. A real island on waters, an island of tranquility, privacy and exclusivity.

An oasis of tranquillity
Around 300 metres of picturesque nature – that’s all that stands between our our beach resort in Sicily and the azure Mediterranean sea. The 6-kilometre-long strip of sand, lined with dunes and cliffs, stretches from the slopes of Mt. Stella to the Capo Bianco bay. An authentic idyll, created by Nature for you to enjoy undisturbed peace and relaxation. This stretch of coast – one of the most beautiful in Sicily – is managed by the WWF, which is committed to protecting its rich biodiversity and unique ecosystem. A pristine pine forest keeps the sand dunes from drifting, thereby preserving one of the most outstanding features in the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve.
Architecture & design
The architecture of our resort was designed with the aim of blending harmoniously into the landscape of the Val d’Orcia while meeting high functional standards.
Planning, material selection and construction solutions are all geared towards efficient energy use and responsible long-term operations.
Large glass surfaces, clean lines and open spaces maximise the use of natural daylight. The buildings are conceived to make the most of local climatic conditions and to create a pleasant and balanced indoor environment.
Particular attention is given to the quality of materials, selected for durability, solidity and timeless aesthetics. Elements made of travertine, a natural stone typical of the region, further strengthen the connection to Tuscany and its surrounding landscape.
An essential part of the construction concept is the integrated building technology: thanks to heat recovery systems, efficient insulation and modern technical solutions, energy is used in a targeted and optimised way, ensuring a high level of comfort with reduced consumption.

Architecture & design
The architectural structure of ADLER DOLOMITI is the result of more than two centuries of development.
Modernisation measures are continuously implemented, always with the aim of combining technical efficiency, comfort and architectural identity.
As a historic property, sustainability here primarily means developing and improving what already exists – step by step, realistically and with a long-term perspective.
In recent years, key public areas and guest rooms have been renovated and optimised in terms of energy efficiency.
New glass façades, windows with improved insulation values and modern building technology bring more natural light into the spaces, reduce heat loss and increase energy efficiency.

Architecture and construction
With its steep roofs and clean, understated lines, the ADLER Lodge RITTEN blends harmoniously into the Alpine landscape, becoming a natural part of the surrounding forest.
The construction follows Renon’s building tradition and the principles of contemporary sustainability: local wood, natural materials and a continual focus on energy efficiency.
Generous glass façades open the interiors to the outdoors, bringing natural light and the surrounding landscape into the Lodge. In this way, the boundary between inside and outside dissolves – architecture and nature merging into one seamless whole.
As a Klimahaus A–certified property, the Lodge meets the highest standards of building quality and energy performance. Durability, regional value creation and responsible use of resources remain central to every decision we make.

As a Klimahaus A–certified property, the Lodge meets the highest standards of building quality and energy performance. Durability, regional value creation and responsible use of resources remain central to every decision we make.

Mobility & digitalization
As Bagno Vignoni is only partially connected to public transport networks, mobility requires thoughtful and well-organised solutions.
An increasing number of guests choose to travel by train, limiting the use of private cars and requiring only a final transfer to the resort. With dedicated transfer services, we actively support and encourage this form of travel.
To reduce emissions associated with daily operations, ADLER THERMAE has integrated electric mobility into its operational processes.
An electric shuttle bus is used for internal transfers, while electric equipment is employed in the maintenance of outdoor areas. Guests also have access to an electric car, allowing them to explore the surrounding area in a more responsible way.
Digitalisation supports these processes in a targeted and functional manner. Digital tools help optimise internal organisation, improve coordination between departments and reduce the use of paper-based materials.
The QR Cube in guest rooms provides easy digital access to information and services, simplifying communication while avoiding unnecessary printed materials.
In this way, mobility and digital solutions become practical tools for more efficient operations and a focused reduction of environmental impact.

We’ve always had a clear core vision: working closely with our staff and partners to create unique living environments and preserve them for future generations. In this respect, ADLER remains a social and ecological pioneer for its commitment to innovation and accountability, including towards the surrounding environment.
DetailsStrategy & Dialogue
Our path toward sustainability is one we walk together – with our employees, partners and guests. Guiding us along the way is our Green Team, which develops ideas, defines concrete measures and makes progress visible.
Open dialogue plays a central role: regular conversations, workshops and feedback moments help us raise awareness and welcome new impulses.
The annual EarthCheck certification supports us in making our responsibility transparent and measurable – and in pursuing our long-term goals with consistency.

Sustainability management & Strategy
ADLER DOLOMITI has been deeply rooted in Val Gardena for generations – and with the growth of the property, responsibility has grown as well.
As one of South Tyrol’s most traditional hotels, we see ourselves not only as hosts, but also as a long-term partner for the village and the valley.
We do not see sustainability as a fixed achievement, but as a continuous process. Especially as a historic property, responsible action means constantly improving existing structures and implementing measures where they can realistically make an impact.
With ADLER for Planet, we have created a shared framework that brings together our goals and measures and provides guidance across all areas of operation – from energy and resource management to social responsibility and regional cooperation.
A central component is the regular analysis of consumption data and operational processes. This allows us to identify optimisation potential early and implement targeted measures.
Clear internal standards, defined responsibilities and collaboration between departments ensure that improvements are not only planned, but also put into practice.

At ADLER Spa Resort SICILIA, we view progress as a continuous process of learning and improvement. Our goal is to maintain a lasting balance between environmental, social, and economic responsibility — supported by clear structures, measurable objectives, and the active involvement of our entire team.
Each department contributes within its own area of expertise, while a dedicated Green Team coordinates initiatives, collects data, and monitors progress. This structured approach helps identify opportunities for improvement and drives meaningful change.
Knowledge exchange within the ADLER Group is also a key element of our strategy. By sharing experiences, ideas, and innovations across properties, we foster collaboration and collective growth.

The Valley of the Temples and the Selinunte archaeological park
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Valle dei Templi in Agrigento is a spectacular testimony to ancient Greek colonisation spread across 1,300 hectares of pure wonder. Take a walk among 30-metre tall columns and massive tympana and let your jaw drop in awe at the sight of the beautifully preserved temple of Concordia, or lose yourself in a distant past as you walk the golden expanse of the Olympeion field. Descend into the catacombs of Grotte di Frangipane and let your imagination run free as you sit on the stone steps of the Bouleuterion – the ancient Greek senate house.
Once a thriving Greek colony, Selinunte is now the largest archaeological park in Europe, developing across an area of 270 hectares. Its temples soar high against the bright blue of the Sicilian sky, telling a story that spans 2,500 years. The vast area can be negotiated either on foot or by electric car, and there is also a special train that covers a dedicated route inside the park.

Water & energy management
Here on the Renon, water is part of a delicate natural cycle – a limited and precious resource. Modern technologies help us use it responsibly and reduce consumption wherever possible. This balance becomes especially visible in the garden: natural meadows and the surrounding woodland keep the soil moist, making additional irrigation almost unnecessary.
The same principle guides our approach to energy. The Lodge is powered entirely by green energy from Alperia, supplemented by pellet heating, district heating and heat-recovery systems.
Smart solutions ensure maximum efficiency, while the large window façades capture natural light and bring warmth and brightness into the interiors.

Water management
Water is a valuable resource, especially in a region such as the Val d’Orcia. For this reason, we adopt a structured and mindful approach aimed at reducing consumption and managing water flows efficiently.
Within the resort, an on-site water treatment system ensures that water is treated before being carefully returned to the designated water cycle.
In the maintenance of our green areas, we rely primarily on collected rainwater and recovered water, significantly reducing the use of potable water.
Since 2024, we have offered our guests spring water from Monte Amiata free of charge in our restaurants and public areas. This choice helps reduce packaging and transport while enhancing the guest experience.
Particular attention is also given to daily operations: housekeeping, laundry and gardening use exclusively ecological and biodegradable products in line with ADLER standards, minimising impact on water resources and the environment.
In addition, we carefully select textiles that allow for efficient washing and drying processes, further reducing water and energy consumption while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.

Water management
As a large resort with an extensive wellness and spa area, multiple dining facilities and spacious gardens, water use is naturally high.
Pools, kitchen operations, laundry services and the maintenance of green areas all require a mindful and technically precise approach to this resource.
We deliberately speak of water use rather than consumption, as much of the water is managed within operational cycles and applied responsibly. Precisely because of this intensive use, we implement targeted measures to improve efficiency.
In recent years, flow restrictors have been installed on taps in guest rooms and public areas to reduce demand without compromising comfort.
Rainwater is collected and reused for the irrigation of outdoor areas, helping to reduce the need for fresh water.
For pool treatment, we also rely on solutions that require fewer chemicals: saltwater pools allow gentler maintenance and reduce the need for chlorine.
In housekeeping and garden maintenance, we exclusively use ecological cleaning and care products in line with ADLER standards, preventing additional strain on water systems and the environment.
Since 2024, we have also been offering our guests free spring water from the Cunfinböden in all areas of the resort. This allows us to use a natural local resource, reduce packaging and avoid transport routes – another step towards a holistic and responsible approach.

Sustainability, born of respect
It is no coincidence that the sea turtle (Caretta caretta) chooses this peaceful corner of Sicily to lay its eggs. The ADLER Spa Resort SICILIA is one of the most eco-friendly 5-star hotels in Sicily on the beach – surrounded by unspoilt nature and perfect tranquillity, which is a privilege that comes with great responsibility. To preserve this slice of heaven for generations to come, we have pledged to offer our guests a beach experience in complete harmony with nature. Our beach is equipped with comfortable sunbeds and parasols, while showers, a drinks kiosk and the stop for our electric shuttle are all a short walk through the dunes. There is a beautiful footpath leading from the Resort through the pine grove all the way to the beach, offering a sea view and the scent of a pine trees along the way.
The Stagnone Nature Reserve
Outside Marsala lies a tranquil paradise of pink salt pans, red-roofed windmills and a blue lagoon dotted with scenic islands.
The Stagnone Nature Reserve extends from the Punta di San Teodoro beach to Capo Boeo – an important Carthaginian historical site. It offers sanctuary to a variety of terrestrial and marine species. The shallow waters are home to Posidonia Oceanica, a precious sea plant that provides oxygen to the water, allowing the survival of an impressive biodiversity. A number of bird species also thrive in the protected environment of the reserve, including its iconic pink flamingos. The inspiring landscape of the Stagnone Nature Reserve provides the perfect backdrop for a variety of activities, from birdwatching to kite surfing.

Dialogue & stakeholder engagement
Many decisions taken within the resort have effects that extend beyond daily operations.
For this reason, ongoing dialogue with our surrounding context is an essential part of the way we work. We maintain close contact with guests, employees, local partners, suppliers, institutions and regional initiatives.
This exchange allows us to identify developments and needs at an early stage, better understand expectations and further develop our activities in a targeted way.
Especially in the Val d’Orcia, cooperation is key to implementing meaningful projects and strengthening local value creation over the long term.
In this way, dialogue becomes a practical tool for orientation and development, helping to embed responsibility into everyday practice.

Dialogue & Stakeholder Engagement
Meaningful progress can only be achieved through collaboration. ADLER Spa Resort SICILIA maintains an open and ongoing dialogue with local partners, schools, municipalities, and institutions to promote shared projects and long-term synergies.
These relationships build trust and support development that benefits both the resort and the wider region.
We actively participate in educational partnerships and local programmes aimed at fostering knowledge, environmental awareness, and opportunity within the community.
Special attention is devoted to preserving biodiversity — on land and at sea — and to promoting Sicily’s cultural heritage.
Through cooperation with local organisations and cultural initiatives, we support projects that safeguard and celebrate the island’s art, history, and traditions.

Dive in
The coast is situated just 300 metres from our beach hotel in Sicily, and is easily reached either with a pleasant ten-minute walk through the pine grove or by electric club car. Our activity programme also includes water sports such as kayaking, canoeing and stand-up paddling, which are offered by partner providers in the vicinity.
Energy management
Energy efficiency and the use of renewable sources are an integral part of the daily operations at ADLER THERMAE.
Our goal is to cover our energy needs responsibly while implementing technical solutions that reduce consumption and emissions.
The resort operates using 100% green energy. A photovoltaic system covers around 30% of our energy demand, strengthening self-generation and ensuring a more stable energy supply.
This is complemented by modern technologies and low-consumption systems that continuously optimise operational efficiency.
A key element of our energy concept is the combination of combined heat and power (CHP), 100% Green Gas and geothermal energy, supported by heat recovery systems. This allows energy to be used multiple times while avoiding unnecessary losses.
To ensure a pleasant indoor climate, the building is equipped with an intelligent ceiling heating and cooling system, which provides an even, quiet and efficient temperature distribution. In this way, we combine high levels of comfort with a conscious use of energy.

Energy management
Energy efficiency is created in everyday operations – through technology, continuous optimisation and clear operational decisions.
At ADLER DOLOMITI, we focus on renewable energy sources, modern heat generation and concrete measures to reduce energy loss.
The resort is operated with 100% green electricity and 100% green gas, based on energy supply contracts with the regional provider Alperia, ensuring that our entire energy demand is covered by certified renewable sources.
To improve the efficiency of heat generation, existing gas boilers have been partially replaced and complemented by the installation of two new combined heat and power plants (CHP units).
These produce electricity and heat simultaneously, significantly increasing overall energy efficiency.
Targeted improvements have also been made to the building envelope: some of the windows in guest rooms have been replaced with models offering higher insulation values, reducing heat loss and lowering energy demand in the long term.
In the wellness area, operational measures further support energy optimisation. Pool covers help retain heat during the night, while adjusted outdoor pool opening hours ensure that resources are used efficiently – without compromising the guest experience.

Energy management
The resort runs entirely on green electricity and is completely gas-free. All systems operate electrically and are controlled by intelligent management software that optimises energy use — from lighting and heating to cooling.
Heat pumps and heat recovery systems have always been part of our energy concept, contributing significantly to overall efficiency. From 2026, a photovoltaic installation will cover around 25% of the resort’s energy demand, further strengthening our commitment to renewable power.
A central energy monitoring system tracks consumption in real time, identifies potential improvements and helps us continuously refine our energy performance.

Mobility and digitalization
Sustainability also shapes the way we use technology and how we move.
Wherever possible, we rely on digital processes – from internal workflows to guest communication – to reduce paper consumption and conserve resources.
Technology is not an end in itself, but a tool: it simplifies daily tasks, increases efficiency and allows us to dedicate more time to what truly matters – authentic conversations, personalised guidance and sincere dialogue with our guests.
When it comes to mobility, the Renon plateau offers ideal conditions for conscious, low-impact travel. The Lodge is easily accessible in a comfortable and environmentally friendly way: by train to Bolzano and then with the historic Renon cable car to Soprabolzano.
Once here, we invite our guests to explore the region car-free – with the complimentary Mobility Card for all public transport in South Tyrol, with e-bikes, or along the many hiking trails that start right outside our door. Charging stations for electric cars are also available.

EarthCheck helps us collect and evaluate key data, monitor our progress, and refine our practices – from energy and water management to waste reduction, community initiatives, and local partnerships.
Annual assessments allow us not only to validate our performance but to strengthen it year after year, fostering a process of continuous improvement and shared responsibility.
For us, EarthCheck is not a goal to reach but a guiding framework — a trusted compass that ensures our actions remain transparent, effective, and aligned with the highest international standards.
It helps us turn awareness into measurable impact and commitment into lasting change.
Our EarthCheck Certification
Since 2024, our resort has been EarthCheck certified – one of the world’s leading standards for sustainable tourism management, recognised by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). This certification makes our performance measurable and supports the continuous development of our sustainability efforts.
In addition, the resort holds the South Tyrol Sustainability Label – Level 3, highlighting our commitment to responsible operations and regional value creation.

Social Engagement
Our connection with the region is also reflected in the support we offer to the community that welcomes us.
In collaboration with the House for Families in Soprabolzano, we have expanded the public playground by adding a new wooden structure that allows children to climb and naturally develop their motor skills.
We also support the maintenance and improvement of public paths. The trail linking the Sigmund Freud promenade with the stop of the Renon narrow-gauge railway has been improved to ensure accessibility throughout the year.
Another project – the installation of a public drinking fountain along the same route – is currently being finalised in cooperation with the local tourist association.
In addition, we regularly organize forest clean-up days on the Renon – together with the Forestry Service, our team members and their families. During these events, the forest is cleared of litter, paths are checked and minor maintenance work is carried out.
A shared commitment to preserving nature and to the awareness that every contribution matters.

Taking concrete action: the EarthCheck certification
Protecting nature and sustainability has always been the cornerstone of our philosophy.
In 2023, we decided to further intensify our efforts for environmental protection and apply for the EarthCheck certification to achieve GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) recognition for our resorts.
The EarthCheck certification is a way for us to consolidate and attest to our commitment towards a more sustainable and responsible approach to the future, and to share this opportunity for ongoing improvement with our guests, staff and business partners.

Waste management & circular thinking
When choosing products for the Lodge, we follow a simple principle: selecting items that are local, durable and capable of creating value for our region. Natural, long-lasting materials and locally sourced products form the basis of every decision.
Recycling and waste separation are carried out with great care, and many forms of waste are avoided right from the purchasing stage through conscious choices and reuse.
This is how natural cycles close themselves: in the kitchen, where fresh and seasonal ingredients are prioritized, and in daily operations, where short distances and small quantities make all the difference.
In 2025 we took another step forward: even more precise waste measurement and separation now give us a clear overview and bring us closer each year to our goal of reducing waste. A simple gesture that points us in the right direction.

Water management
Water stewardship lies at the heart of our environmental philosophy. Step by step, we are moving towards a more self-sufficient water supply, making use of the island’s natural resources in an efficient and responsible way.
Rainwater and reclaimed water from our on-site treatment plant are used for irrigation. Since 2025, a 90-metre-deep well has complemented this system — drawing groundwater that would otherwise remain unused and allowing for the sustainable use of local water resources.
Drinking water, available free of charge throughout the resort, is purified through a professional microfiltration system. It is microbiologically pure, low in sodium and minerals — a standard that safeguards both health and the environment.
In housekeeping, laundry and garden maintenance, we use only ecological and biodegradable cleaning products that meet ADLER’s internal standards, ensuring that the water returning to the natural cycle remains free from harmful substances.

Compliance & Ethics
Responsibility is reflected above all in the way we work together and in how decisions are made. For this reason, our corporate culture is guided by clear values: fairness, respect and integrity.
These principles shape our relationships with employees, guests, partners and suppliers and define a shared standard, regardless of background or position.
We foster an inclusive working environment based on mutual trust and long-term perspectives.
Many members of our team have been with us for years, as have numerous local partners and suppliers with whom we maintain long-standing relationships. This continuity is a tangible expression of reliability and collaboration built on respect.
At the same time, clear internal rules and transparent processes provide guidance in everyday operations and ensure that ethics are not merely stated, but consistently put into practice.

Farm Cultural Park, Favara
This urban regeneration project situated a few kilometres east of Agrigento is the product of a family’s love for their homeland, and their determination to help it rise from the rubble – both literal and metaphoric – of a tragedy that shook the local community to the core. The Farm Cultural Park is an art gallery, culture centre, artists’ residence and culinary showcase rolled into one eclectic space within the town’s historical centre. As their motto goes: “A place that makes you happy”.
Awarded with the South Tyrol Sustainability Seal
A clear sign of lived responsibility – the ADLER Lodge RITTEN has been awarded the South Tyrol Sustainability Seal.
At the highest level, Level 3, this quality label stands for a deep and holistic commitment to environmental protection, regional value creation, and social responsibility. It is based on the internationally recognised criteria of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and honours those who are especially dedicated to preserving South Tyrol’s unique natural environment and supporting its communities – with a sustainability approach that encompasses all areas of operation.
Achieving this certification requires a clear strategy, a comprehensive action plan, and a system for continuous monitoring and improvement. All aspects of sustainability are communicated transparently and are regularly certified by an independent institution – in our case, EarthCheck.
This recognition reaffirms our path: to manage resources mindfully, strengthen local collaboration, foster respectful relationships with employees and partners, and offer our guests authentic, nature-based relaxation – in harmony with the values and culture of South Tyrol.

Biodiversity & natural conservation
ADLER Lodge RITTEN lies in the heart of the forest, surrounded by meadows and trees that shape the landscape. Here, nature grows at its own pace and finds its own spaces.
Since 2025, a small group of alpacas has been living in our garden: they keep the grass low and add a gentle presence to the landscape. Our beehives contribute to biodiversity by pollinating flowers and supporting the territory’s natural cycles.
In this way, we strengthen the vitality of local species and ensure that nature has the environment it needs to thrive. Garden care remains both essential and respectful – a shared space between guests and the surrounding landscape.

Community Engagement
Our social engagement is rooted in the intention to contribute in a tangible way to the development of the region in which we operate. We work closely with local people, associations and institutions to support cultural, social and environmental initiatives that strengthen the community and enhance the Val d’Orcia.
Through targeted projects and long-term partnerships, we support activities that promote culture, social well-being and a form of tourism that is attentive to the territory and to the people who live there.
OUR PROJECTS
Concerto in Tenuta
In cooperation with Paesaggi Musicali Toscani, we hosted a concert at Tenuta Sanoner in July 2025. This year’s performance featured internationally renowned clarinettist Francesco Paolo Scola and pianist Fausto Quintabà.
Local infrastructure and slow tourism
We support initiatives aimed at strengthening local infrastructure and promoting slow, sustainable mobility in the area around Bagno Vignoni. These include projects to maintain and improve the network of walking paths, such as the redesign of a section between Bagno Vignoni and Pienza damaged by flooding, developed in collaboration with specialised technical experts.
In addition, we support the Municipality of San Quirico d’Orcia in the creation of public parking facilities in Bagno Vignoni, contributing to a more balanced management of the area.
Support for the social cooperative La Ginestra
Through the adoption of olive trees, we support the social cooperative La Ginestra di Pienza, which is committed to social and educational projects with a particular focus on children, young people and older members of the community.
Gravel Event sponsorship
In October, we participate as a sponsor and organisational partner in the Gravel Event in Bagno Vignoni, which brings together around 700 participants and promotes an active, respectful and low-impact way of discovering the region.

Community Engagement
Our engagement with the local community goes beyond responsibility — it’s an expression of belonging and connection to this land and its people.
ADLER Spa Resort SICILIA supports social, cultural, and environmental initiatives that foster inclusion, participation, and solidarity.
One initiative especially close to our hearts is the Cena con il Sorriso (“Dinner with a Smile”), organised monthly in collaboration with the Vincenzo & Teresa Reale Association (VTR) and other partners from Agrigento, Favara, Ribera, Sambuca, and Sciacca.
On this special evening, our kitchen team works alongside individuals with disabilities or special needs — cooking, setting the tables, and welcoming guests — creating moments of genuine human connection marked by warmth, dignity, and joy.
As a Golden Donor of the FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano), we also contribute to the protection of Italy’s cultural and natural heritage. The FAI safeguards and promotes over 70 historic, artistic, and environmental sites throughout the country — a mission that mirrors our own commitment to preserving the beauty and authenticity of Sicily.
Additionally, we partner with Empethy, a platform that supports animal welfare across the island. Through adoptions, medical care, and sterilisation programmes, we help provide abandoned animals with safety, care, and new homes — often with the involvement of our guests.
These small but meaningful actions create touching stories, where a holiday becomes an act of compassion.

Local value & short supply chains
What reaches the table at ADLER THERMAE often begins just a few kilometres from Bagno Vignoni. Our supply chain is built with care and is based on long-term relationships with local producers and regional partners.
A key focus is food sourcing according to the KM0 principle. Many ingredients come from the Val d’Orcia and surrounding areas, helping to reduce transport distances while actively supporting the local economy.
A particularly meaningful example of this approach is our own field, where we grow the wheat used to produce the flour for our kitchen – a direct cycle from the land to the table.
Beyond gastronomy, we also pay close attention to responsible supply chain management.
When selecting products and suppliers, we prioritise quality, durability and reliable standards. In this way, we create value in a consistent and responsible manner, strengthening our connection to Tuscany and the region that surrounds us.

Local value & short supply chains
Responsibility begins here. On the Renon, we work with people who share our vision and who, like us, place great importance on quality, provenance and fairness.
Our approach is simple and hands-on: farm-to-table is not a concept, but an everyday practice.
In our garden of around 4,000 m² we grow herbs, salads and vegetables that go straight to the kitchen. Completing this are the products from our local partners: the Messner bakery on the Renon, which uses regional grains; the Buchhütterhof, which supplies free-range eggs; Hof zu Fall with its raw-milk cheeses; the Alter Keller butcher in Montan; and Kohl’s apple juices, made from mountain apples grown on the Renon.
In this way, the journey from origin to plate remains short, relationships stay direct, and the value created stays where it belongs: within our region.

Local value & short supply chains
At ADLER DOLOMITI, regional value creation has played a central role for generations. As a property located in the heart of Ortisei, we are closely connected to Val Gardena – economically, socially and culturally.
In our cuisine, we place great importance on sourcing as regionally as possible and work with suppliers from South Tyrol and neighbouring areas.
Short transport routes, transparent origins and long-term partnerships form the basis of this approach.
In daily operations, we also rely consciously on regional cooperation – from services and technical support to a wide range of supplies.
For renovation and modernisation projects, we work preferably with local craftspeople.
This ensures that value creation remains in the valley, strengthens existing structures and supports long-established know-how.

Our mission
ADLER for Planet represents a concrete expression of our responsibility towards the territory, the people and the traditions of the Val d’Orcia.
Our mission is to create a place where well-being, nature and local identity can coexist in harmony.
We promote local value creation, adopt a conscious use of resources and develop forward-looking solutions that respect the unique character of this landscape.
Short supply chains, innovative energy concepts and targeted investments in environmental and social initiatives are key elements of our commitment.
In this way, we combine contemporary comfort and authentic enjoyment with a responsible vision – for today, for the region and for future generations.

Quality made in Ritten
From the culinary standpoint, several products and specialities from the Ritten area enjoy a renown that stretches far beyond the South Tyrolean borders. These include, for example, the gourmet apple juices by Thomas Kohl, which are made from apples cultivated at nearly 1,000 metres of altitude. There, thanks to a combination of intense Alpine sun and night time temperature drop, the apples develop a gentle acidity resulting in the unmistakable flavour that graces all the brand’s juices, from pure apple juices to the ones blended with mint, apricot or carrot.
Perhaps even greater is the world-wide renown of Loacker, with its crispy wafers and indulgent cream-filled biscuits. What started out in 1925 as a small pastry shop in Bozen has developed into an internationally successful company with headquarters in Unterinn am Ritten. Closeness with the surrounding natural landscape has been part of the brand’s identity since its very foundation, as is the focus on selecting natural ingredients of the highest quality.

Ribera – the town of oranges and slow enjoyment
Awarded the Slow City designation in recognition of its sustainable lifestyle, Ribera is beautifully situated on a high plateau 230 metres above the sea. The mild climate and abundant water provide a fertile terroir for growing the succulent PDO Washington Navel oranges for which Ribera is renowned. Local attractions include the Anguilla necropolis, the Foce del Fiume Platani Nature Reserve, and the Monte Sara area.
The Freud promenade
“… Here on the Ritten it is definitely beautiful and comfortable.” These are the words Sigmund Freud wrote to his friend C.G. Jung. Follow in the footsteps of the founder of psychoanalysis along a pleasant promenade that leads from Oberbozen past ADLER Lodge all the way to Klobenstein, commanding spectacular views of the Dolomites. There are several benches along the way where you can stop and take in the vista, as well as information boards offering inspiring quotations from Freud’s works.
Waste management & circular thinking
A responsible use of resources often becomes visible behind the scenes – in logistics, internal processes and everyday operations.
For this reason, ADLER THERMAE continuously works to reduce waste and use materials more efficiently.
A key element is systematic waste separation throughout the resort. Recyclable materials are carefully sorted and disposed of correctly in order to support recycling processes as effectively as possible.
At the same time, we gradually reduce packaging and prioritise durable products or supplies based on reusable solutions.
In purchasing and daily operations, we also follow a circular approach: wherever possible, we rely on refillable systems, low-impact materials and alternatives that help prevent unnecessary waste. In this way, a responsible product cycle is created – from selection to disposal.

Waste Management & Circular Thinking
ADLER Spa Resort SICILIA aims to reduce waste to an absolute minimum and to keep materials in use for as long as possible. Following the Zero Waste principle, all waste streams are carefully separated, recycled and reduced wherever feasible.
Our courtesy line is presented exclusively in sustainable, recyclable packaging. Packaging is also systematically reduced in purchasing, with a clear preference for reusable or returnable materials.
From 2026, an in-house composting system will convert organic waste from the kitchen and gardens into natural fertiliser — another step towards a closed, resource-efficient cycle that benefits both the environment and the resort’s green spaces.

Waste management & product cycles
In a resort where many guests are looked after every day, material flows are inevitable – in the kitchen, housekeeping, spa operations and logistics. What matters is therefore not whether waste occurs, but how consistently it is avoided and correctly separated.
Systematic waste separation throughout the entire property is the basis for directing recyclable materials into appropriate recycling processes. Employees are regularly trained and sensitised to ensure reliable implementation in daily operations.
At the same time, we continuously work to reduce packaging and avoid single-use products. This includes the further development of our courtesy line, adjustments to our slipper policy, and the gradual reduction of unnecessary plastic packaging.
Digital solutions also contribute to resource efficiency. With the QR Cube and paperless information systems, we reduce the use of printed materials and lower paper consumption in daily operations.
This creates a waste management approach that does not start with disposal, but already begins with the careful selection of products and materials.

Wine-themed walks and wine tastings
The hilly to mountainous landscape above the town of Bozen is home to swathes of lush vineyards, which thrive under the South Tyrolean sun, reaching altitudes up to 900 metres. Featuring prominently in this winescape are autochthonous grape varieties such as Pinot Blanc, St. Magdalener, Pinot Noir and Lagrein. The taverns and wineries located along the picturesque footpaths that criss-cross the area provide the perfect opportunity to explore the distinctive flavours of these wines. One such footpath is the Rebe wine-themed walk that extends for 3.5 kilometres between the localities of Signat and Rentsch. It features art installations by sculptor Filip Moroder with information about the Ritten plateau’s long wine-growing tradition.
Luigi Pirandello home and museum
The family home of Italian Nobel-winning playwright Luigi Pirandello is situated near Porto Empedocle. Declared national heritage, the 18th century villa now hosts a museum dedicated to the world-famous dramatist, where a vast collection of memorabilia is on display, including everything from family heirlooms to materials relating to his works. A multimedia tour of the house guides visitors room by room through the history of Pirandello’s life and work. The final stretch of the journey leads along a scenic footpath to a pine tree in the countryside, where Pirandello’s ashes were placed to rest.

Biodiversity & conservation
The park at ADLER THERMAE is an integral part of the guest experience and, at the same time, a valuable habitat for a wide variety of plant and animal species.
For this reason, the care of our green spaces follows thoughtful practices that respect natural balances.
In maintaining the park, we deliberately avoid the use of chemical substances and instead rely on natural methods.
When necessary, insects and small animals are gently collected using special nets and subsequently released back into the park, ensuring that the ecosystem remains undisturbed.
Through this careful and non-invasive approach to landscape management, we contribute to the protection of local biodiversity, in harmony with the unique landscape of the Val d’Orcia.

Biodiversity & Conservation
The resort is deeply committed to protecting the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve — one of Sicily’s most precious coastal ecosystems. Working closely with local partners, we implement measures to preserve biodiversity and safeguard the landscape for the long term.
Within the resort grounds, a botanical garden, native plant species, and our own orchards, olive groves and citrus trees create a vibrant and diverse habitat. This carefully designed environment supports natural cycles, provides shelter for local wildlife and strengthens the ecological balance that surrounds the resort — a living example of how nature and hospitality can coexist in harmony.

In the centre of Ortisei, the spacious garden of ADLER DOLOMITIoffers a valuable place of retreat – not only for guests, but also for many plant species, insects and birds.
The design and care of these green areas is deliberately nature-oriented, with a clear focus on preserving local biodiversity.
A particular emphasis is placed on a wide variety of native plants adapted to the climate and conditions of the region.

Local value creation & supply chains

The Christmas market in Bolzano
During Advent, a triumph of lights, scents and soft melodies transform Bolzano into a captivating world of Christmas delights. Take a walk among the decorated stalls on the Waltherplatz square, brimming with original gift ideas. With around 80 exhibitors displaying traditional South Tyrolean products such as hand-painted Christmas decorations, felt work, artistic candles, hand-carved nativity figures and more, you will be spoilt for choice. Some of the stalls offer food and beverages, with South Tyrolean specialities featuring prominently along with Christmas punch and mulled wine. The choir singing and Advent concerts complete the experience, setting the mood in tune with the approaching festivity.
ChristmastimeTHE RENON EARTH PYRAMIDS
Take advantage of your holiday on the Renon plateau to visit Europe’s highest and most impressive earth pyramids. The ADLER guides offer several different hikes that lead there. These curiously shaped earth columns, made of glacial moraine clay sculpted by the alternation of rain and drought, rise from deep gorges up to 30 metres in height. Their lifespan is very variable, as it all depends on the capstone: as soon as the protective cap falls away, the pyramid crumbles. From what remains, nature builds a new pyramid further uphill.
ADLER MED – body treatments
Rely on our expertise and state-of-the-art technology to successfully combat cellulite and sagging skin, and reduce localised fat deposits on the abdomen, thighs, arms and buttocks while also firming up tissues and toning up muscles. Havens of health and relaxation
A variety of saunas and baths have evolved from local tradition and ancient wellness rituals. Heat can be combined with different ingredients to enhance its health-promoting properties and regenerating powers. Alpine aromatic herbs and floral essences are a balm for the airways and help release tension. Natural fango and salt crystals purify the body and heal the skin.
Savour the silence in the cosy atmosphere of our relaxation areas, as the flames dance merrily in the fireplace.

Homeopathy
Rather than focusing on single organs or systems, homeopathy approaches the human body as a whole, with its complex intertwining of physical and psychological factors. The basic principle of homeopathy is that “like cures like”. In other words, homeopathy stimulates the body’s natural defences and promotes healing by using natural substances that produce similar symptoms to the ones that need treating.
MT. Corno del Renon (2,260 m)
An excursion up Mt. Corno del Renon (or Rittner Horn in German, lit. “The Renon horn”) is an experience worth living at any time of year. The view is simply breathtaking. Your gaze will wander free over the endless horizon, embracing the Dolomites, the Alps and the Ortler and Brenta mountain groups. You can choose from several trails that negotiate through unspoilt countryside and swathes of mountain pine trees and rhododendrons. For connoisseurs we recommend the panoramic trail, which features attractions such as the “Round table” and the “Dolomitoskop”. In winter, Corno del Renon doubles as a small winter sports area with skiing and cross-country skiing facilities, as well as snowshoeing and ski touring itineraries.
Bagno Vignoni
The Etruscans and Romans already knew about the healing effects of the warm thermal water. Bagno Vignoni, the small town on the "Via Francigena" , can look back on a long bathing tradition. Illustrious guests such as Medici Prince Lorenzo the Magnificent or Saint Catherine surrendered to the delights of the spring water long before our time. Today, the ancient tradition lives on, interpreted in a contemporary way in the steaming spa of the ADLER THERMAE.
ADLER quality guarantee - Regional & Homemade
From Tuscan pecorino cheese to freshly squeezed orange juice from Sicily, and from fresh home-grown herbs to ancient South Tyrolean grains from the nearby fields, provenance makes a real difference.
This is why we focus on provenance when choosing the ingredients for our dishes: in our resorts and lodges, we use mainly locally-sourced premium quality produce – carefully selected and hand-processed by our kitchen crew to create authentic specialities.
The ADLER Regional Partner seal helps you identify the items from the menus and buffets that have been prepared with regional ingredients, while our homemade specialities are recognised by the ADLER Homemade label.

36° indoor and outdoor thermal pools
The water of our thermal pool contains bicarbonate and sulphate and is a balmy 36°. This high temperature enhances its healing effects on the bones, skin and joints. The thermal pool also offers a spectacular view of the countryside and a range of whirlpool features.
A spectacle of nature
More than 200 million years old, the Dolomites are a unique form of open-air cinema featuring bizarre rock formations and rugged peaks, which alternate with rolling alpine pastures and deep valleys. The rock strata of the mountain range tell of the history of our Earth and the sunrises and sunsets are quite spectacular. Reasons enough for the magical mountains to be designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. Prepare yourself for a natural spectacle that will be remembered for a long time to come!
A unique site of natural beauty
The hills gently arch towards the horizon, green vineyards alternate with yellow fields. Cypresses jut in between, bright red poppies sway in the wind: The landscape around our resort in Val d’Orcia is a feast for the eye. Be enchanted by the beauty of nature.
ADLER MED – laser therapy
Our laser specialists use cutting-edge technologies to ensure the best results. We offer various aesthetic laser treatment options to revitalise and rejuvenate the skin and remove any blemishes.
Modern laser therapy for gentle, versatile treatments
A laser beam is simply a high-energy, concentrated beam of light that is converted into heat upon hitting its target. Modern laser devices work gently and precisely by focusing that energy over an extremely small area and for a very limited time, without damaging the surrounding tissue. Different lasers emit light at different wavelengths/colours, which allows them to penetrate different skin structures for different purposes. Selective laser therapy allows for short treatment times with excellent aesthetic results and fast healing.

An individual programme for stress management and prevention
Time pressure, an overload of family and work commitments, and rigid self-expectations are only some of the factors that can lead to sustained chronic stress, and to its attending physical and emotional exhaustion, as well as to a series of health issues. Our personalised holistic stress-management programme is based on an in-depth analysis of stress levels, free radical load and levels of stress hormones – particularly DHEA, prolactin and cortisol. It is recommended to prevent and reduce stress, prevent burnout and psychosomatic disorders, and increase vitality by unlocking your own inner energy resources.
Be active without limits
Not only are the Dolomites a fantastic sight, they are also an unparalleled activity-filled paradise. Hikers, mountaineers, skiers and other sports enthusiasts have everything they could possibly desire in the “most beautiful mountains in the world” – even guided tours with our local guides.
Top-class sporting events are held in the Dolomites all year round, such as the “Sellaronda Hero” mountain bike marathon or the downhill runs of the Ski World Cup.

Closer to nature as never before
Part of our philosophy is to bring you closer to the nature, culture, products and traditions of our unique destinations. Our extensive range of outdoor activities sprang from this idea over the years. Be part of genuine experiences and adventures and create memories you will treasure for a long time to come.
Dolomites as a place of power

From farm to table: our farm garden
Our farm garden has grown into a bona fide Garden of Eden. Spring wheat, potatoes, beetroot, leeks, strawberries and many other crops all thrive on healthy land, under the attentive care of Christian Fink and his girlfriend Johanna – a young couple of nature-loving farmers with a creative and ecological mindset. Together, they cultivate our 4,000m2 farm garden according to organic farming methods. From the garden, the ingredients go straight into Hannes Pignater’s kitchen. Guests are welcome to participate in our guided tours of the farm garden and see for themselves how the ingredients for their dishes are cultivated.

Sustainable travel – the Ritten Card
With your complimentary Ritten Card, you can use public transport for free (including the Renon train and cable car) and enjoy free admission to all the main museums and sights in and around Bolzano.
The lake saunas (adults only)
Water meets heat. The mountains on the horizon blend into the luscious indoors. Seemingly floating on the water, and accessed via a wooden walkway, our lake sauna area is an island of relaxation in the middle of the ADLER park. Enjoy a healthy sweat in the biosauna and Finnish sauna, regenerate in the steam bath, and dream away in the hot whirlpool. A refreshing dip in the plunge pool and a relaxing break by the crackling fire round off the experience.
The Renon Railway
The Renon narrow-gauge railway was created in 1907 to offer the Bolzano “jet set” easier access to their summer houses. Originally, there was a rack-and pinion line connecting the Waltherplatz square in the centre of Bolzano directly to the Renon plateau. From there, a narrow-gauge railway led further to Collalbo. Nowadays, the Bolzano-Soprabolzano line is served by a modern cable car, while the Renon railway only connects the two municipalities of Soprabolzano and Collalbo – a good option if you wish to shorten the way back from your hike, with the added bonus of a delightful panorama and the chance to enjoy it from a historical carriage.
Wellness experiences
Spa treatments specially tailored to the winter season, warming massages and treatments protect your skin against the cold. In our sauna infusions you will experience the beneficial effects of essential oils and herbs, which not only ensure a pleasant scent, but also strengthen your immune system. This is how you recharge your batteries for the cold days ahead.
Winter walking
The snow crunching under your soles makes it easy to slow down the pace of life. There are plenty of ways for winter hikers to enjoy the magical Renon landscape: options range from dreamy loop trails through snowy woodland to well-groomed altitude trails commanding a 360° panorama, as well as ski touring and snowshoeing itineraries through unspoilt expanses. Wherever you go, a cosy hut is always within reach for warmth and culinary relief. The Renon plateau is a bona fide paradise for anyone who loves snow sports and winter activities.

Regional, natural, nutritious
The use of fresh, top-quality products is part of the ADLER philosophy. As far as possible, we source ingredients from the surrounding area and most of the regional, seasonal foodstuff comes from organic farms. Our kitchen team also attaches great importance to healthy, wholesome food. Many of them, such as aromatic mountain herbs and flowers or freshly picked mushrooms, come directly from the mountains and carry the power of nature within them. We also use products we have grown ourselves!

Legends full of magic and mysticism
Many myths revolve around the magical Dolomites, which glow in the evening sun first a brilliant red, then smoothly slip into orange and violet into the darkness of the night.
In Catinaccio, Laurin, the dwarf king is to answer for this. Deeply offended by betrayal and unrequited love and furious at his defeat in battle he cast a spell over his glorious rose garden to destroy it for ever. Neither by day nor by night shall a man ever see the splendour of the roses again. However, the dwarf king forgot to include twilight and dawn in his spell. And so, King Laurin’s old rose garden occasionally “bursts into bloom” in the gloaming. This miracle of nature is called “Enrosadira” (Alpenglow) in Val Gardena.

And so, King Laurin’s old rose garden occasionally “bursts into bloom” in the gloaming. This miracle of nature is called “Enrosadira” (Alpenglow) in Val Gardena.
New day, new tour
A total of 30 mountain biking routes start right outside our e-bike and MTB hotel in the Dolomites – leading high up, steeply downhill, and to the most beautiful spots in the Dolomites. You don't have to be a pro to enjoy them: the 1,000 km network of trails includes all levels of difficulty and is perfect for beginners and leisure e-bikers as well. Freedom meets variety – this is what a bike holiday in the Italian Dolomites is all about!
On a discovery tour with experienced guides
Our experienced local guides accompany you on daily outdoor activities, such as hiking, Nordic Walking, mountain biking, skiing, etc. They know the area well and enthusiastically introduce you to the secrets and peculiarities of the nature and culture.
Relax close to nature
The first rays of morning sunlight bathe the Alpe di Siusi in a warm light; the Gruppo del Sella glows a fiery red in the evening: You too will fall under the spell of the Dolomites. The mountains not only do your eyes good, they have also been proven to be good for your health. The mountain air strengthens the circulation and immune system and improves sleep and mood. Be spirited away by the legendary magic of the Dolomites and draw strength straight from nature.
Salt lake
Float in the warm water of the salt lake enveloped by light effects and atmospheric sounds. The Dead Sea salt in the water cleanses your skin and stimulates the circulation.
Siena
You should definitely plan a visit to Siena: The flair of the completely preserved medieval town is hard to beat. The spirit of the past lives on in Piazza del Campo with the Palazzo Pubblico and Torre del Mangia. Italy’s most important horse race, the “Palio”, is also worth seeing. Twice a year, it attracts thousands of visitors to the city and lets you feel the Senesian passion.
The Dolomites: the most beautiful mountainscape in the world
No mountain range on this planet can match the Dolomites for their beauty and variety. In 2009, UNESCO recognised their uniqueness and listed them as a World Heritage Site. Dubbed the “pale mountains”, the Dolomites steal hearts with their rugged peaks, rolling hills and deep valleys, offering an exquisite backdrop for outdoor sports and activities in every season – from the slopes of the world’s largest ski circuit to the sun-drenched summer pastures, there’s something for everyone. Follow the call of the mountains – and let us take you on a guided hike or tour to savour this wonderful natural landscape all the better.
The soothing side of skiing
The Corno del Renon ski area is a perfect example of good things coming in small packages. With its sunny, carefully maintained slopes for all levels of skill, it guarantees a fine day on skis for everyone. Cross-country skiers will be equally delighted, with a choice of wonderful, perfectly tracked trails offering extraordinary all-round vistas. Corno del Renon is the ideal ski area for those who favour a quiet, cosy and natural environment over the thrill of extreme skiing.
It is quickly reached using the Pemmern lift – the valley station is approximately 30 minutes away, with public transport connections available. You can purchase your lift pass and hire your ski equipment directly by the lift car park. Our reception team are happy to provide more information.

Val Gardena museums
Val Gardena’s entire landscape is like an open-air gallery, but to delve deeper into specific aspects of the local culture and tradition, we recommend visiting the valley’s museums. Head to Museum Gherdëina for a display of fossils and minerals, wooden toys, secular and sacred wood carvings, film props, posters and books by local mountaineering legend Luis Trenker. For insights into the history of the former Val Gardena railway there’s the Val Gardena Railway Tunnel museum, and for a touch of variety, the Tublà da Nives culture centre hosts a variety of events, from art and history exhibitions to lectures, literary performances and concerts.
Yoga and Pilates retreats
Sometimes you need to take a journey to reach deep within. Make time for the most important thing in your life – yourself! During our yoga and Pilates retreats, you will be introduced to different exercises and styles, focusing on a range of topics. Renowned yoga and Pilates instructors from Germany and other countries will be at your side, guiding you sensitively on this journey. Our retreats are open to both beginners and advanced practitioners.
Homemade & local – being close means freshness
The quality of a gourmet dish begins with the selection of ingredients. So, our kitchen team understands the value of sourcing as many products from the surrounding area as possible. The majority of our regional food is also organically grown. Whether homemade bread with organic flour from the surrounding fields, home-grown olive oil, herbs from the garden or truffles, saffron and pecorino from the surrounding area, for the ADLER gourmet cuisine only top-quality ingredients are good enough.
Places of worship and art
Probably the oldest church in the valley, the St. Jakob Church above Ortisei is not only historically significant, but also located in one of the most scenic spots in the area with breathtaking vistas. To combine a cultural tour with an easy hike, visit the Holy Cross Chapel in Rasciesa di Fuori, at an altitude of over 2,200 metres. Other churches worth seeing are St. Anthony’s Church on the main square of Ortisei, the parish church of Ortisei with its paintings, statues and carvings, and the Romanesque parish church of Bulla, a small locality just outside Ortisei that also hosts Rosarium Uhrerhof, Europe’s highest rose garden with over 6,000 rose bushes.
Rest areas and places of silence
After a pleasant dip, relax in the warm rooms or outdoors in the sunshine. The loungers, swings and water beds in the cosy relaxation zones make a comforting place for dreaming.
The salt cave with sauna and pond
Immerse yourself in atmospheric sounds and light effects as you enjoy the combined effects of heat, humidity and natural Himalayan salt in our salt stone sauna. Or bathe in the pond, where the Dead Sea salt helps to cleanse and regenerate the skin and airways. Our salt cave can also be booked for an exclusive private experience.
ADLER Spa Resort THERMAE
The ADLER Spa Resort THERMAE is both a source of energy and an active point of departure. Here, surrounded by this stunning landscape, holidaying is a truly intensive experience.
DiscoverCastles and ruins
The Dolomites are not the only silent witnesses to Val Gardena’s past; several castles and ruins dot the landscape offering a glimpse into bygone times. Visit the impressive ruins of Wolkenstein Castle, sitting against Mt. Stevia like an eagle’s nest, or the ruins of Stetteneck Castle, on the Pincanhügel hill in Ortisei, which owe their discovery to one of the many legends of the Dolomites. For well-preserved castles, head to Castle Fischburg between Selva and Santa Cristina and Castle Trostburg in Ponte Gardena – the latter was the home of the minstrel Oswald von Wolkenstein and remains to this day one of the most magnificent castle complexes in South Tyrol.
South Tyrol: a land of high mountains and lived traditions
As Italy’s northernmost region, South Tyrol incarnates a blend of two different worlds – the German-speaking Tyrolean culture and Mediterranean influences intertwine to create something unique. Two official languages are spoken in South Tyrol – three here in Val Gardena, where we speak Ladin as well as Italian and German, and everything in the local natural and cultural landscape reflects the many influences that have contributed to our history and traditions. Visit South Tyrol and experience its rich, faceted beauty in many ways, from taking in its magical scenery to diving into its indulgent culinary landscape.
The best panorama for inner peace
Make the most of your yoga retreat in Tuscany by floating in balmy waters, letting your gaze wander and allowing the unique beauty of the landscape to work its magic on you. The rolling hills of Tuscany spread before you like a painting, eyes and soul feel liberated and peaceful, the thermal water relaxes the body, which naturally slows to its own rhythm. Panorama relaxation zones and the extensive parkland invite you to discover your own favourite place to enjoy life in.

AKI program
A little preview of what is in store for your children? We’ll go out into nature, build sandcastles, and do handicraft works with materials collected on the beach. We will also visit a farm to discover how cheese is made, and taste delicious honey directly from the beekeeper. There’s always something fun to do, here at the Club!
Alchemical flower essences and essential oils
Alchemical flower essences and essential oils are used for their positive effects on the body and mind. Each essence is specifically prepared to rebalance and harmonise the body’s energies, while essential oils can be used for massage, inhalation or aromatherapy to promote general well-being and help you reconnect deeply with yourself.
Curling
As one of the oldest winter sports of all time, curling has a long tradition here in the Renon area. Every week, our hiking guide (and talented handyman) Klaus Fink organises a curling tournament that is held on our little lake. Seize this opportunity to enjoy an unusual experience in good company!
For a city trip: Bolzano and Bressanone
If you ever need a break from all the fresh air and mountain views, a visit to South Tyrolean towns is a good way to add variety to your Val Gardena holiday. Both the provincial capital Bolzano and the bishopric town of Bressanone are only a 40-45 minutes’ drive away. Look forward to picturesque old town centres steeped in Alpine-Mediterranean flair, with a host of restaurants and bars, shops and boutiques, promenades and museums such as the Archaeological Museum (with Ötzi the glacier mummy) in Bolzano and the Hofburg Museum in Bressanone, as well as a variety of events including indulgent wine and food-themed festivals. Perfect for a day trip!
Gym and fitness training
Our bright, spacious fitness hall is equipped with the latest Technogym machines for strength and endurance training. Gentle stretching exercises will help you bring your body back into balance. Our trainers are always on hand to offer personal advice and assistance.
Language courses
Good language skills are just as important as sound expertise for a host and a career in the hospitality industry. Which is why we offer a variety of language courses in which you can improve your German, Italian or English skills.
Medical therapies
Aesthetic concerns that indicate an underlying pathology require specialised medical care. Using ADLER MED’s advanced technologies, our medical practitioners can treat and remove unaesthetic signs such as discolouration and spots in a fast and minimally invasive way.
VASCULAR THERAPY:
Rosacea, couperose, erythrosis, enlarged capillaries, varicose veins, spider veins on the legs, angiomas and petechiae can all be effectively treated using either laser therapy or sclerotherapy.
SKIN GROWTHS:
We employ the most advanced laser technology to remove warts, skin tags, xanthelasmas, keratoses, myomas and all types of benign skin growths.
HAIR LOSS:
To stop hair loss and add volume to thinning hair, we use four-cycle injection treatments and laser biostimulation. The effectiveness of the injections is maximised in combination with a local scalp treatment that can also be done conveniently at home.
PAIN THERAPY:
A combination of shock waves and laser therapy is used to treat and alleviate acute and chronic inflammation in the muscles and joints.
SNORING:
A thin laser is used to tighten oral tissue in the soft palatal uvula, allowing for better inflow. This procedure is for patients who suffer from primary snoring, i.e. without other concomitant diseases.
OTHER CONDITIONS:
Our medical equipe can also treat onychomycosis (nail fungi), ingrown toenails and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

Our local partners: quality products straight from the farmers
While fine wines mature in the nearby valley, cattle graze on the lush meadows in the mountains above us. We work closely with innovative growers and farmers to source organic eggs, exquisite Wagyu and Chianina meat and homemade fruit juices. Partnerships designed to support our region and delight our guests.
Pienza
You have a view of the “ideal Renaissance city” from the ADLER Spa Resort THERMAE. The UNESCO World Heritage Site was built by Pope Pius II. The cathedral square and two magnificent palazzi form the heart of the building. Sample the popular “Pecorino” sheep’s cheese – delicious, especially with honey or jam.
Quiet spots and relaxation areas
After a dip in the pool, enjoy some rest in the warmth of panoramic rooms or bathe in the sun outdoors. Soft lighting and soothing sounds will help you sink into deep relaxation as you lie back on the loungers and heated water beds. From the pavilion with its Langkofel view to our cosy cabins, the soothing scent of larch wood will accompany your experience wherever you are. Visit the inner courtyard and lose yourself in the magical atmosphere of the fire pit, or let the scenic walkway lead you to the garden and lake saunas.
The fabulous world of Tony
This adventure trail is a big favourite of families, and especially popular among older kids. It starts by the Corno del Renon cable car mountain station and features 11 play stations with characters inspired by South Tyrolean legends, such as King Laurin, the Willeweis seer and the Sciliar witches. Other attractions include an eagle’s nest for budding climbers and a water games area complete with a hydrotherapy facility. All these attractions are made using materials found in nature. Along the way there are also comfortable benches where grown-ups can sunbathe and take in the view while the children play to their hearts’ content.
To decelerate, regenerate and replenish inner resources
Everyday stress can’t be entirely avoided, but it can be managed more positively. In fact, stress resilience, i.e. the ability to cope with stressful situations and even prevent burnout, is something anyone can build by natural methods.
Learning to reduce stress through meditation, deep breathing or yoga techniques, and incorporating them into your daily routine, will help you relax, restore your energy reserves and gain full awareness and control of your inner resources. At ADLER Spa Resort BALANCE, we offer free daily programmes to introduce you to these wellness-promoting strategies and help you make them part of your daily life.
The programme is rounded off by personalised body therapies, natural remedies, sports and exercise out in nature, which contribute to restoring your strength and body-mind balance.

The ADLER MED nutrition concept takes into account the healing properties of fresh herbs and spices and incorporates chronobiology principles, which offer valuable tips for optimal body weight, as well as other important factors such as the right sequence and combination of foods. To support your health and well-being without compromising on taste, we rely exclusively on wholegrain and natural ingredients that are in season and mostly locally sourced. Our nutrition plan always includes precious follow-up information that will help you maintain and reap the benefits of a tailored, healthy dietary style at home.
Homemade tastes better
While we are fully open to exploring new food cultures, we never lose sight of our own traditions. Our chefs invest time and care into transforming what guests can smell and see growing in our surrounding greenery into homemade specialities. A lot of craftsmanship and attention to detail go into making their spruce oil and spruce-top honey, jams and elderberry syrup, as well as liqueurs made from fresh garden herbs. They also process wild dandelion and wood sorrel into delectable starters and salads. Our homemade products are completely organic, free from additives and, above all, incredibly delicious.

Local value & Supply chain
Sicily is a land of abundance — rich in flavours, craftsmanship, and centuries of knowledge. With that richness comes responsibility: wherever possible, what we use and offer originates right here on the island, in close partnership with the people who live and work here.
The resort maintains long-standing relationships with local farmers, fishers, producers, and artisans who share our values of quality and authenticity. Fresh fruits and vegetables, olive oil, cheese, fish, and meat are sourced primarily from nearby suppliers.
Our boutique also celebrates Sicilian creativity, offering handpicked clothing, jewellery, and accessories crafted by local designers and artisans. In this way, regional heritage becomes part of our guests’ experience — expressed through elegance, craftsmanship, and identity.
These close partnerships build trust, transparency, and shorter supply chains — strengthening the local economy and preserving artisanal traditions passed down through generations. It’s a value chain founded not on volume, but on respect, connection, and shared purpose — bringing a genuine piece of Sicily into the heart of our resort.

DetailsMaria Saal pilgrimage church
This architectural jewel dating back to the 17th century sits on a hillock near the Lengmoos earth pyramids. Its spectacular location alone would make it worth a visit, but the interior deserves to be seen too, with its many paintings and a distinctive fresco depicting Mary and the Child under an umbrella. In the past, the local farmers used to gather at Maria Saal to pray for rain and a prosperous harvest – the numerous hand-painted votive tablets on the walls still bear witness to their faith and gratitude.
Mobility & Digitalization
As an island destination, reaching Sicily often involves travelling by air or car — which makes it even more important to promote gentle, low-impact mobility once guests arrive.
Within and around the resort, guests can explore the region sustainably with e-bikes and electric vehicles, or simply on foot. We also encourage the use of shared transfers to reduce traffic and make local travel more environmentally conscious.
Behind the scenes, digital systems streamline daily operations and significantly reduce paper use. Digital guest information, online check-in, and internal communication platforms make processes more efficient and transparent.
This balance of technology, comfort, and environmental awareness reflects our vision of modern, responsible hospitality.

Places of pleasure
The ADLER Spa Resort DOLOMITI has several places dedicated to relaxed culinary enjoyment: our restaurant with winter garden and lounge as well as the gourmet restaurant of the neighbouring ADLER Balance, where you are also welcome to dine. We also invite you to tastings in our wine cellar and the cocktail bar for a drink in a stylish atmosphere.
Regional, seasonal, natural
The use of fresh, top-quality products is part of the ADLER philosophy. As far as possible, we source ingredients from the surrounding area and most of the regional, seasonal foodstuff comes from organic farms. We also use products we grow ourselves, such as our olive oil or our AETOS wine from Tuscany.
Scala dei Turchi
Some sights stay with you forever. Scala dei Turchi is one of them. So much so that an application has been made for it to be listed as UNESCO World Heritage. The mighty cliff of white marl diving into the blue sea of Realmonte makes a popular literary and filming location, as well as one of the most visited sights in the area of Agrigento.
