How the ADLER Spa Academy empowers people – and enhances the guest experience
Behind every spa experience at ADLER are people who have carefully learnt their craft and continue to refine it day after day. To ensure this level of quality in the long term, the ADLER Spa Academy was established. It provides structured training, nurtures talent and strengthens teams across all our resorts – creating a working environment that supports development and offers long-term perspectives.
The Academy is a place for exchange, professional growth and genuine appreciation. It ensures that guests can rely on a consistent, high-quality experience in every ADLER Spa – delivered by people who are motivated, well-prepared and confident in their role.
A centre of expertise that aupports people – and the region
With around 75 specialists, ADLER Spa & Med is a true hub of expertise. Within the Spa Academy, this wealth of knowledge is cultivated and shared. Three times a year, team members from all seven ADLER properties – from Tuscany to Sicily, the Dolomites and the Plose – come together to learn, collaborate and benefit from each other’s experience.
This creates an ongoing learning journey that deepens professional competence and strengthens individual skills. Many team members continue their careers within the region, contributing their experience to the local wellness and tourism landscape – an impact that extends well beyond the individual resorts.
Growing together – from the basics to specialisation
The Spa Academy accompanies team members from their very first day and establishes a shared standard of quality across all ADLER resorts. New colleagues begin with a foundational course, designed to support a smooth start: accommodation, meals and travel expenses are covered, allowing them to focus fully on learning and settling into their new environment.
Building on this, the Academy offers regular advanced training for experienced staff. The content is updated each year in line with developments in the Spa & Wellness sector and in collaboration with both internal and external experts. This ensures that professional know-how is continuously expanded and kept up to date.
Support, diversity and development in everyday working life
Working in a spa requires not only technical skill but also balance, attentiveness and mutual support. For this reason, topics such as self-care, emotional wellbeing and mental balance form an integral part of the training, alongside techniques and methodology. A respectful and well-structured working environment strengthens our teams and has a direct influence on the quality of the work they do: those who feel prepared and valued stay longer, contribute ideas and help build stable teams across all properties.
At the same time, the Spa Academy brings together people of different ages, cultures and backgrounds. This diversity encourages creativity and openness, fostering a working culture in which talent can grow regardless of personal experience or origin.
