Hiking Marathons at ADLER
Sporting challenge, nature, and shared passion lie at the core of the thrilling ADLER hiking marathons, drawing an increasing number of passionate participants year after year. For 2025, our expert guides in Tuscany, Val Gardena, and Renon have designed a series of routes filled with adventure, new experiences, and places waiting to be discovered.
Together with people who share the same passion, you can immerse yourself in breathtaking landscapes, test your endurance, and experience the shared passion and mutual motivation that make the journey even more rewarding. Along the way, a team spirit develops among the participants, encouraging everyone not to give up and to push beyond their limits.

ADLER SPA RESORT THERMAE
Spring Marathon – 25.03.2025
42 km of total immersion in the blooming Tuscan countryside. The colors and scents of spring set the stage for this marathon, now celebrating its tenth edition. Along the route leading to Montepulciano, passing through the charming village of Monticchiello, you will find several refreshment points and a lunch featuring Tuscan delights. A massage therapist will be on-site to provide relief for your tired calves. Afterward, there are another 12 km to walk before reaching the hotel, where the experience concludes with a sparkling toast.
Autumn Half Marathon – 04.11.2025
23.5 km through Val d’Orcia, made even more enchanting by the warm autumn hues. The evocative morning mists, the golden reflections of the vineyards, the iconic Chapel of Vitaleta, and the rolling wheat fields of Terrapille—famous as a backdrop for the film Gladiator—are just a few of the many wonders you can admire along this route. The final destination is Tenuta Sanoner, where grilled delicacies and exquisite biodynamic wines await you.

Dolomites Hiking Challenge – From mid-June to mid-September, once a month
21 km with ascents and descents, 1000 meters of elevation gain, four Ladin valleys, and all four Dolomite passes around the Sella Massif—all in one day! Good physical fitness is required, of course, but don’t worry: you don’t have to tackle the entire route on foot, as occasional breaks with cable cars are possible. To keep your energy up, the hotel provides a packed lunch to enjoy along the way, offering breathtaking views. Not to be missed: the panoramic views of the Marmolada Glacier, the deep blue of Lake Fedaia, the legendary high-altitude Viel del Pan trail, and the bizarre rock formations of the Città dei Sassi.
Marathon at the Foot of the Sassolungo Group – 03.10.2025
Starting from the Alpe di Siusi mountain station, the route winds through continuous ascents and descents at the foot of the imposing Sassolungo Group, reaching Monte Pana, where an energizing lunch awaits you in the Sanoner family’s mountain hut. And that’s not all: a physiotherapist will also be on hand to help revitalize your tired muscles. Then, the journey continues to Selva and returns to Ortisei along the former railway track. At the end of this approximately 42-km hike, you will receive a participation certificate and a medal.

Panoramic Half Marathon on Renon – 01.10.2025
A fascinating new route takes you through colorful forests and stunning mountain landscapes. The 360-degree view from the Corno del Renon, the high-altitude peat bogs, and the gentle grassy peaks of Alpe di Villandro make this hike both intense and exhilarating. After covering 22 km, you can recharge with the best of South Tyrolean culinary tradition during a stop at a mountain hut. Finally, the hotel shuttle will take you back to the starting point.
