My professional background
My qualifications include a degree in General Medicine and Surgery and a Diploma in Naturopathy from the University of Siena, a CISDO Diploma in Homeopathy, and specialist training in acupuncture, functional medicine and nutritional medicine. I currently work at ADLER Thermae Resort in Bagno Vignoni (Tuscany).
My approach
All treatments are preceded by an in-depth consultation to get a full picture of the patient’s situation. During the consultation, I ask patients to speak freely about themselves, any ailments or predisposition to illness they may have, their family’s medical history and their lifestyle and habits. More often than not, this brings to light aspects that tend to be overlooked during standard doctor’s appointments. If the situation warrants it, I also use simple, non-invasive tests to identify any disease predisposition, organic dysfunctions or hidden inflammation in the body, as well as any symptoms of nutritional deficiencies. By assessing the various health aspects separately, I am better equipped to tailor a personalised treatment plan for each patient.
My fields of specialism
I mainly specialise in diagnostics and functional medicine and nutrition. I’m especially interested in the latest advancements in the fields of nutritional medicine and epigenetics, i.e. the branch that investigates lifestyle impact on the person’s gene expression.
