A New Arrival at ADLER Ritten: Welcome Baby Alpaca Willy
There is great excitement at ADLER Ritten: on June 10 at around 10 a.m., our alpaca Janka gave birth to a healthy baby boy after being pregnant for a period of 11 months and 3 weeks. The little newcomer has been named Willy and is already capturing hearts with his unique appearance – a black fleece complemented by a white forehead and a white nose.
For the past year, the four alpacas Janka, Zendaia, Zamira and Schwalbe have become beloved members of the ADLER Ritten family, bringing joy to both guests and staff. To ensure a calm and peaceful birth, Janka was temporarily separated from the rest of the herd. Some guests were even lucky enough to witness the special moment from their chalet.
Just a few minutes after birth, Willy and his mother were brought to the stable, where they could spend their first hours together in a safe and protected environment. The young alpaca proved to be strong and healthy from the very beginning, quickly standing up and nursing right away.
Since yesterday, Willy has already been exploring the meadows around ADLER Ritten together with the other alpacas. Curious, lively and incredibly charming, he has quickly become the little prince of the herd, bringing smiles to everyone who meets him.
