Did you know that there are 450 types of cheese in the world and more than 90 are produced in South Tyrol? South Tyrol has a great tradition in the production of dairy products and to this day we have a large variety and selection of typical cheese such as the Almkäse, the Stelvio or the Bauernkäse.
In autumn, free weekly tastings will be organised in the ADLER Spa Resort DOLOMITI giving you the chance to taste them. The cheeses are produced on the “Hof zu Fall” farm, which is located in Castelrotto, more precisely in St Valentino. Among other things, you will have the pleasure to taste their Kastelruther Weichkäse, their Seiser Alm Käse and the Santner Bergkäse. The farm’s owner, Joachim Rier, has been managing the farm together with his wife since January 2014 and is very passionate about his job and products. He will be present at the tastings and will be able to give you further information on the production and processing of his cheese.
