The wait is nearly over: Christmas is upon us, and another year is slowly drawing to a close. Now is the perfect time for a well-deserved break at ADLER.

ADLER Spa Resort SICILIA
In addition to the year-round activities made possible by Sicily’s mild climate, you can look forward to a programme designed to introduce you to the island’s Christmas traditions. Activities include craft workshops (a good opportunity to learn how to make palm leaf bags, among other things) as well as daily discovery tours through the picturesque mountain and coastal villages in the area, with their colourful Christmas markets and historic living nativity scenes. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we will treat you to a traditional Sicilian feast with freshly caught fish and local delicacies. The highlight of New Year’s Eve will be dance and music shows against a spectacularly illuminated backdrop. After the traditional midnight toast, we will continue dancing and celebrating into the early hours of the morning. On the following day, a good start to the new year is guaranteed with a sumptuous brunch of traditional Sicilian specialities.

Spending the festivities immersed in our thermal spa in Tuscany is a perfect way to escape the winter gloom. It is also a unique opportunity to experience the region from a new, authentic perspective. The medieval villages of Val d’Orcia have their own distinctive charm, and the mix of fairy lights, choral singing, nativity plays, markets and ancient customs – such as the Abbadia San Salvatore fire festival – add to the magical atmosphere. Naturally, we have devised special Christmas and New Year’s Eve packages to help you get into the festive mood. On Christmas Day, it’s all about culinary indulgence accompanied by festive lighting and atmospheric melodies, while New Year’s Eve will be the opportunity to spin the wheel of fortune and play your way into the new year with roulette, blackjack and poker tables. At ADLER BALANCE, the festivities are all about contemplation, cosy get-togethers and, of course, culinary indulgence. We will start off with an aperitif in the ADLER Spa lounge, followed by an exquisite Christmas meal with zither duo accompaniment in our festively decorated restaurant. On New Year’s Eve, we will end 2023 in style with a fine gala menu and live music. Later in the night, we will serve zampone e lenticchie, a typical Italian New Year’s food. The party will go on (and on!) at the nearby ADLER DOLOMITI, where you can dance the night away and enjoy a well-rounded entertainment programme into the early hours of New Year’s morning. All BALANCE guests are welcome to join in.

In winter, the Renon plateau shows off its cosiest side, with its charming landscape enveloped in a duvet of tranquillity. To match the harmonious atmosphere of this setting, we have devised a special programme for you to enjoy in a warm, homely atmosphere. In the afternoon of Christmas Eve, we will serve homemade biscuits and mulled wine to set the festive tone, followed by delicious aperitif drinks. At dinner, our chef will spoil your palate with delectable creations, made all the more enjoyable by the beautiful harp melodies in the background. Culinary indulgence will continue on New Year’s Eve, combined with live music, dancing and a New Year’s lottery with great prizes for an exciting start to 2024. On New Year’s Day, a winter hike or a few hours in the Forest Spa will bring you back into a relaxed state after the celebrations.
