More than just a ordinary wood construction
The ADLER Lodge RITTEN is entirely made of wood. Inside and outside. Unique woodworks immediately catch the eye.
Hubert Gruber, owner of the company Aster, and his team were in charge of the wooden construction. With outstanding organisational skills, foreman Walter managed all activities on-site. They already played a significant role in the creation of the first ADLER Lodge, which opened in July 2014 on the Alpe di Siusi.
On the Renon they brought the unusual requirements and fancy ideas of the Sanoner brothers and the architects Hugo and Alessia Demetz yet again to life. With much patience and expert artistic skills. For every eccentric idea they developed a clever solution. The team worked meticulously on architectural plans, trying to create unique and unexpected elements. The result is far more than “ordinary” wooden construction. It is woodcarving, it is wooden art.
And thus, some of the architectural details you can discover in the ADLER Lodges, are not to be found somewhere else in the world: enigmatic wooden shapes created by the Val Gardena artist Markus Delago, powerful eagle and dragon figures carved up in the gables, printed wood panels.
