The magic of Advent at the Christmas market

If you are planning your holiday during the Advent season and are looking for an original gift idea, we highly recommend a visit to one of South Tyrol's traditional Christmas markets.

The famous Christmas market in Bolzano can be reached in just 12 minutes by cable car from the high plateau of Renon. Decorations, scents, Christmas songs and colourful stands fill the historic centre, creating a unique Christmas atmosphere. The markets provide traditional and characteristic products from the region. In addition to Christmas decorations, handicraft products and South Tyrolean culinary specialities, the Christmas markets also offer an extensive programme of concerts and cultural events.

In the communities of Renon, Soprabolzano and Collalbo, smaller events convey the true spirit of Christmas. And during the weekends, visitors can enjoy a very special experience: the historic train Rittner Christbahnl hosts traditional products, homemade cakes and mulled wine during various stops.
