Enjoy skiing without limits - all the way to the heart of Ortisei

For ski enthusiasts and ADLER guests there is a pleasant new this winter. After spending a day on the beautiful Alpe di Siusi, you can now ski down to the valley on the new Pilat slope, which is almost 5 kilometres long.

For a long time, skiers had only one option to reach Ortisei from the Alpe di Siusi: unhook their skis and take the cable car! But now, there is a fascinating slope in the forest with a spectacular view over the entire valley.

The new Pilat follows the path of a natural slope that has been closed to the public for more than 25 years. After long planning, the slope was completed in two years of intensive work and with minimal impact on the landscape. The driving force behind the project was the local tourism association together with the hotels and accommodation providers. Of course, we instructors at the Ortisei Ski School welcomed this initiative as well and are now delighted with this new opportunity to enjoy skiing on the Alpe di Siusi.

The slope starts at the mountain station of the Alpe di Siusi cable car. After an initial sunny section, the slope winds its way through the woods and is classified as "red" (medium difficulty). Halfway down the slope there is the possibility to take the so-called Direttissima, a technically more demanding "black" variant and therefore suitable for more experienced skiers. Coming out of the wood you enter the final section that leads between the houses of the Ronc meadows and ends at the valley station, right in the heart of Ortisei.

We have done this route dozens of times and are always thrilled. It is an experience that is well worth trying and that we look forward to sharing with you, dear guests of the ADLER.

We look forward to seeing you!
