The Renon plateau offers a wide choice of hiking paths and bike trails, as well as two open-air swimming pools, a bathing lake and horse riding facilities. Winter options include snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, Alpine skiing and ice skating. A narrow-gauge railway, a cable car and a regular bus service provide fast and reliable connections to the surrounding villages and the town of Bolzano, which is regarded as the meeting point of the Alpine and Mediterranean cultures. As South Tyrol’s capital, it attracts scores of visitors year-round with its shops, cultural attractions and leisure opportunities. The nearest stop on the Renon railway is just a few minutes’ walk from the Lodge.
