Outdoor enthusiasts will find the Renon a true paradise all year round: more than 350 kilometres of hiking trails, scenic routes for e bikers, the small Rittner Horn ski area, as well as various winter activities such as ice skating, curling and sledding.

The region also offers numerous excursion highlights, including the sunny Freud Promenade, wine hiking trails and tasting spots, the highest and most impressive earth pyramids in Europe, the Rittner Horn at over 2,000 metres above sea level, the pilgrimage church Maria Saal, the Plattner Bienenhof beekeeping museum, and in winter the charming Renon Christmas Market.

At the foot of the plateau lies the regional capital Bolzano, with its cathedral, arcades, market, and the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology, home to the famous glacier mummy Ötzi.

Explore the destination

The Renon plateau is easily accessible by car via the Brenner motorway (A22). At ADLER, you can enjoy a complimentary covered parking space in our garage.
If you travel by train, the Renon cable car can be reached in just five minutes on foot from Bolzano railway station – once at the top, we will be happy to pick you up with our hotel shuttle service.
Arrival by private taxi or plane is also possible. At Bolzano Airport, you can benefit from tailor made mobility packages offered by our partner Sixt.
